PIER PAOLO PASOLINI

As a poet, novelist , scriptwriter, author, literary critic, essay writerand polemicist, Pasolini was among the most controversial and provocative figures ever to have an impact on the national and international culture and cinema community of the past century. He was among the few that focused more on the subject matter rather than the film making itself, this way he brought the evolution of the Italian society forever at odds to the screen.

Pasolini's on-the-edge lifestyle led him to stand up against all stereotypes and categories. During the student riots between the 60's and 70's, he'd write indefense of the policemen coming from lower class families as opposed to the spoiled high and middle class brats taking to the streets.

He was brutally murdered by the hand of a male hustler before a speech to be held at the Radical party meeting. The investigations lacked coherence and the case is still not completely explained.

This thick volume contains more than 120 pages which act as anofficial tribute to his astounding career. A whole section features a collection of posters and rare pictures from his films, behind-the-scene and on-the-set images, and a complete filmography.
